The Forest Preserve District of Will County has been hosting a show called “The Buzz” where they share projects going on in the preserve and environmental news in the area. This is to keep the community updated and involved in the environment.

The Joliet Patch shares that the upcoming Buzz will launch Wednesday, November 30th at 8:30 p.m on the District’s Facebook and Youtube pages. The show also can be viewed on WJYS TV on Friday, December 2nd at 9 p.m., courtesy of funding from The Nature Foundation of Will County.” Local cable stations within Joliet, Naperville, New Lenox, Romeoville and Tinley Park will also showcase The Buzz.

Suzy Lyttle, program host of the Goodenow Grove segment, reflects on an event from one of the in-school offerings through the education program. “This is my favorite in-school program we offer at the District… “There is nothing better than seeing students feeling totally grossed out in the beginning and by the end not wanting to stop dissecting!”

The Buzz really highlights the beauty of the local landscape and showcases the individuals that put time into and really care for the Forest Preserve District of Will County.

The Forest Preserve webpage, reconnectwithnature.org, also posts frequent articles with the latest nature news. Some of the most recent articles include shooting stars, different types of eagles, an option for after Thanksgiving other than Black Friday, and the best form of Christmas trees.

If you are looking for a good resource to hear the latest on the Will County environment, The Forest Preserve webpage is consistently providing updates.
