Several Types of Crimes Committed

There have been several different types of crimes that have been committed in Joliet. The following stories detail these incidents.

Cocaine Dealers Caught With Guns

    Joliet, IL - On November 17, two cocaine dealing defendants have been placed into Will County Jail on numerous charges. The two drug dealers were caught due to a raid conducted by the Joliet police's Narcotics and Tactical units. During the raid of the house on the 700 block of West Marion Street, police discovered a 9 mm handgun, ammunition, cash, and cocaine and ecstasy pills were also confiscated. The police caught 42-year-old Victor Bailey and his associate 25-year-old Trayonte Holmes in a traffic stop on the 900 block of Jefferson street.

Bailey was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of controlled substances, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen gun, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, obstructing justice, resisting arrest and driving while license suspended. Holmes was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

Random Cars Set on Fire    

    Joliet, IL - Last Wednesday, four cars were heavily damaged by fire. Joliet police stated that "it was determined that a total of four vehicles were heavily damaged by fire, and two additional vehicles appeared to have lesser damage caused by fire". The fires were stated to be set off intentionally with the use of gasoline. Joliet police wishes to have info on or surveillance footage on the incident. 

Woman Falls Asleep Behind the Wheel

    Joliet, IL - On Tuesday November 15, a 24-year-old woman was found sleeping behind the driver's side of a vehicle parked by a Thorntons gas pump. The Thorntons gas station was on Collins Street according to Joliet police.

 Amanda Salois is the driver who was arrested and booked into Will County Jail for having fentanyl in her possession. Salois has been charged with DUI-Drugs and possession of a controlled substance. She is currently in jail on a bond of $10,000.

Supermercado Joliet's Business Booming

With the perfect weather in Joliet, customers from all around Will County are stopping in for outdoor dining and authentic hispanic food.  Supermercado Joliet taco stand is known for their hispanic food and speedy service. A reporter from the Joliet Patch claims he received his $8 taco meal only 90 seconds after ordering. Their fast and reliable service is very appealing to customers, so much so that Supermercado Joliet attracts a diverse range of customers all throughout the area. In an interview with the Joliet Patch , Supermercado owner Lucia Kulbartz said the taco stand serves customers of black, hispanic, and white races. Busy Week for Joliet Police

 During this past week there have been numerous crimes that the Joliet Police Department have had to deal with. The following stories detail JPD's experiences with these crimes. By Josh Golden Mugshot of Tierra Rodgers Via Will County Jail JPD's SWAT Team Finds Wanted Man in Attic      Joliet, IL - Eric D. Tyler is a 35-year-old criminal defendant who was arrested after hiding from the police. Tyler has multiple warrants out for his arrest for two counts of domestic battery, possession of a gun by a felon, theft, loan fraud, and wire fraud.  JPD located Tyler in the attic of a house on River Bend Lane. Once they discovered that he was located at this house, JPD closed off traffic and established a perimeter around the Lakewood On Caton Farm subdivision. The Special Operations Squad, which is the name of Joliet's SWAT team, provided help with searching and clearing the house and ensuring that Tyler was unarmed. Tyler is now in the Will County Jail awaiting trial....
