Happy Monday Saints!

With a relaxing weekend officially behind us, it's time to look to the week ahead and see what the university has in store.

On Monday (10/3) the Justice League will be hosting will be hosting a game night in mother house (C305 MH). The event starts at 7 p.m. so be sure to stop by and see what fun they have going on!

For the foodies out there, Food Truck Tuesday (10/4) will be hosted by USF ministry. The truck will be there from 12:30 p.m. through 2 p.m. outside the Pat Sullivan Center. In addition, the first 150 people eat for free. So for those of you looking to score a free meal, good luck and enjoy!

Wednesday (10/5) continues the food news but adds singing to the mix. Once again, the USF ministry will be hosting karaoke and walking tacos at 6 p.m. in San Damiano. In addition, Mighty Minds will be hosting a hugging event in the fireside lounge beginning at 8 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m.. Not sure what a hugging event is? Be sure to stop by the fireside lounge and find out!

For all the athletes, Thursday (10/6) is your day as the Rec Club will be hosting Jello Olympics! Head out to the pavilion at 7 p.m. for a night of relays and competition featuring everyone's least favorite dessert, Jello!

For more action down in the pavilion, the USF ministry will be there Friday (10/7) offering pet blessings at 12:45 p.m.. In addition, Alpha Phi will be hosting Ghosts in the Graveyard in the quad at 8 p.m.. So don't be scared to miss out on this ghoulishly good time!

First Lion Electric School Bus in Joliet

 Noëllie Inard Credit: www.chicagotribune.com  On Wednesday, November 2nd, Lion Electric announced the end of the production of its first LionC zero-emission electric school bus at its Joliet factory. In May 2021, Lion Electric, a Canadian-based manufacturer of commercial vehicles, selected Joliet to hold its future US manufactory due to a growing demand for electric school buses in the United States. Lion Electric positioned itself to help school districts with the transition to electric buses with the help of the EPA Clean Bus Program which funded the project with $5 billion. The EPA Clean Bus Program is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, a law that the Congress recently passed under President Joe Biden and which aimed to invest “ in [the] nation’s infrastructure and competitiveness,” according to the White House. The company’s efforts have paid off since they have now 700 electric vehicles on the road.       Lion Electric promised on January 2022...

The Emo Night Tour is Coming to Joliet!

They will be performing around the United States in 40 different venues, with one of the shows being in Joliet, IL, at The Forge on September 3, 2022. "The Emo Night Tour DJs will be spinning all the angst your teenage dirtbag heart desires all night long," their Facebook page states, "and will make you feel like you're at Warped Tour '08 minus all the dust and melting in the sun!" The show primarily features pop-punk music, but a DJ chooses what to play by tailoring the set to the crowd's energy. With nostalgic songs on the list from popular bands such as Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, and much more, The Emo Night Tour brings many people to the show.
