The Joliet Slammers take a mental break right before finishing their season.

On August 24th, the Joliet Slammers asked on Twitter how they should spend their weekend twitting “After 18 weeks, 48 home games, and over 3,000 hours worked, our office will be closing for a brief mental health break.”

Fans hope that this break is what the team needs so that they can come back and finish off the season stronger.  Roman, a fan of the Joliet Slammers, says, “Its good that they are taking a break because they can come back more energized and prepared to win the rest of the games.”

So far, the Joliet Slammers have been killing it with 46 wins and 43 losses. Their batting average of  .250 will hopefully increase by the time their season ends if they manage to get more solid wins. This season for the Joliet slammer is still up in the air as they only have a 6-point difference between winning and losing.

Fanatics of the Joliet Slammers will patiently wait as Roman once again states, “If they need the week they can glady take it.” Meanwhile, fans on Twitter couldn’t be happier as one fan tweets,

“Dog and a beer? Relax and watch someone else do the work,” followed by a gif asking if they should go see a baseball game.

This long-awaited break comes after the team has played 2 away games and 48 home games.  By the time they return their season will end with 3 away games and 3 home games. Their last 3 home games will be the celebration of going back to school.  The Joliet slammers will also close their season with a firework show whether they win or lose on September 4th, 2022.  A perfect way to end the baseball season and summer.

First Lion Electric School Bus in Joliet

Noëllie Inard Credit: www.chicagotribune.com  On Wednesday, November 2nd, Lion Electric announced the end of the production of its first LionC zero-emission electric school bus at its Joliet factory. Lion Electric positioned itself to help school districts with the transition to electric buses with the help of the EPA Clean Bus Program which funded the project with $5 billion. The EPA Clean Bus Program is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, a law that the Congress recently passed under President Joe Biden and which aimed to invest “ in [the] nation’s infrastructure and competitiveness,” according to the White House. The company’s efforts have paid off since they have now 700 electric vehicles on the road.       Lion Electric promised on January 2022...
