Joliet Sex Toy Thief Caught

(Image via google maps)
30-year-old Kevin R. Reed, of Joliet, is accused of stealing a $200 sex toy from the Crest Hill Taboo store off Plainfield road in September of 2020. Reed was arrested and booked into the Will County Jail on October 4, 2020. After being granted a bench warrant from Will County Judge Ken Zelazo, a Crest Hill Police Department detective was given the go-ahead to arrest
Reed.

The incident in question occurred on September 13, 2020 where Reed allegedly stole a sex toy “with the intention of depriving the merchant permanently of the use and benefit of such merchandise,” per court records. In a statement with the Joliet Patch Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark said that Reed initially entered the adult store without wearing a face mask. The store refused to allow him to enter, so Reed left and later returned wearing a mask but was also required to provide his ID due to the store’s policy.

The merchandise in question is valued at $200, but Police Chief Ed Clark told the patch “He took the item and walked out of the store ” before stating that he did not want to disclose any more details about the stolen item. The fact that Reed provided his ID to the store and the carefully arranged surveillance cameras provided detectives with enough information and evidence to request and obtain their bench warrant. Reed was previously arrested and convicted for shoplifting in 2018 from Will County.

In an interview with Patch editor, Buxbaum stated that they have “[...] about 400 games in [their] library” with family-friendly and inclusive...

Starting on December 1, users will no longer be presented with an option to list their sexual orientation, their political views, their address, or their religious views on their personal profiles. Facebook did not provide an explanation for this decision. The decision was announced one week after Meta, the parent company of Facebook, fired 11,000 employees, 13% of its total workforce; whether or not these two events are correlated, however, remains unclear.
