Friday, October 23 marks the beginning of Big Ten Football. The Wisconsin Badgers take on the Fighting Illini at Camp Randall Stadium. This is the first game in the Big Ten Conference and every college football fan is looking forward to it.

This game is truly special. Not only is it the first sense of normalcy in college football, but it is also a night game at Randall Stadium which means the lights will be shining down on the players.

Illinois coach Lovie Smith commented on the big match, stating:

To be the first game to start Big Ten is pretty exciting. Whenever you get a chance to play at night, that's a good thing, also. Last year, we had a great game against the Badgers, looking forward to playing them again. We're pumped up to know now when we start our season and we can really gear ourselves towards a week from Friday.

Coach Smith is referring to the Illini's incredible win against the Badgers last year, beating them 24-23. Thanks to Illinois kicker James McCourt, the team was able to win with a buzzer beating field goal.

Following the Illinois vs. Wisconsin game is a total of six games on Saturday, October 24. We'll see Nebraska take on Ohio State, Penn State at Indiana, Rutgers vs. Michigan State, Iowa at Purdue, Michigan vs. Minnesota, and Maryland against Northwestern.

This college football season is unlike any other. After the original cancellation of the fall season was reversed by the Big Ten Conference, many steps had to be taken in order to ensure the safety of all players and staff involved. Some precautions include regular COVID-19 testing, a complete analysis of each player's health, and a hand-picked group of scientists and doctors that are continuing to monitor the disease.

You can watch Illinois take on the Badgers at 7pm on Friday, October 23.

Situated on 852 Sharp Drive in the Sharp Center off Black Road near Route 59 in Shorewood, the coffee shop, previously owned by a kickboxing studio, is close to the Bliss Hair Studio. The owners, Dana Buxbaum and her husband Shaun Tenant, mixed what they loved to create their idea of the perfect coffee shop. “I always wanted a coffee shop,” said Dana Buxbaum, “My husband and I combined our love of gaming with my vision of the coffee shop.” The coffee shop has made available bookshelves full of games such as Clue, The Serial Killer Trivia Game, Sorry, Dragoon and many more. In an interview with Patch editor, Buxbaum stated that they have “[...] about 400 games in [their] library” with family-friendly and inclusive...

Starting on December 1, users will no longer be presented with an option to list their sexual orientation, their political views, their address, or their religious views on their personal profiles. Facebook did not provide an explanation for this decision. The decision was announced one week after Meta, the parent company of Facebook, fired 11,000 employees, 13% of its total workforce; whether or not these two events are correlated, however, remains unclear.
