The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) has decided to continue with their Fall 2020 sport season. An article from the Wisconsin State Journal states "six options were presented by executive staff for the WIAA and outlines by assistant director Stephanie Hauser."

In an 11-0 vote by the board, the WIAA decided that Wisconsin schools will have four sport seasons: a delayed fall season, a winter season, an alternative spring season (for schools who are unable to play sports this fall), and the traditional spring season.

The alternative spring season was intended for schools that are heading back to classes with a "soft start" by having students attend online classes this fall. Due to the unknown risks and dangers that surround sports amid the COVID-19 pandemic, this alternative option allows for schools to suspend their sports for the current season while planning ahead for the spring.

Due to the scheduled changes, each sport season will be shortened by two-to-three weeks. Even with these alterations, according to madison.com, "there will be overlap in the seasons." Although the WIAA allows a student to play in multiple sports, each school must decide whether they will allow an athlete to play in overlapping seasons.

Each school must also decide whether they are going to participate in the alternative spring season completely, play their fall sports entirely in the fall season, or move some sports to the spring and keep some sports in the fall.

The WIAA executive director, Dave Anderson, explained that the association will "remain flexible, depending on COVID-19 developments."

Situated on 852 Sharp Drive in the Sharp Center off Black Road near Route 59 in Shorewood, the coffee shop, previously owned by a kickboxing studio, is close to the Bliss Hair Studio. The owners, Dana Buxbaum and her husband Shaun Tenant, mixed what they loved to create their idea of the perfect coffee shop. “I always wanted a coffee shop,” said Dana Buxbaum, “My husband and I combined our love of gaming with my vision of the coffee shop.” The coffee shop has made available bookshelves full of games such as Clue, The Serial Killer Trivia Game, Sorry, Dragoon and many more. In an interview with Patch editor, Buxbaum stated that they have “[...] about 400 games in [their] library” with family-friendly and inclusive...

Starting on December 1, users will no longer be presented with an option to list their sexual orientation, their political views, their address, or their religious views on their personal profiles. Facebook did not provide an explanation for this decision. The decision was announced one week after Meta, the parent company of Facebook, fired 11,000 employees, 13% of its total workforce; whether or not these two events are correlated, however, remains unclear.
